Tourist and Business visas are not required for citizens of the United States for a stay up to 90 days. However, your passport must have at least one blank visa page and be valid for six months. Malaysia requires that citizens of foreign countries obtain a visa to enter. The Malaysian Consulate General will determine the duration of stay upon receiving an application. The types and categories differ according to the purpose of visit, length of stay and respective arrangement with the country of the foreign national.
- Single Entry Visa (Tourist)
The Single Entry Visa is issued to those who require a visa to enter Malaysia mainly for a social visit, or tourism. - Multiple Entry Visa (Business)
The Multiple Entry Visa is issued to those who require a visa to enter Malaysia mainly for business or government-to-government matters. - Transit Visa
The Transit Visa is issued to those who require a visa to enter Malaysia on transit to other countries. Foreign Nationals on transit without leaving the airport premises and who continue their journey to the next destination with the same flight number do not require a transit visa.
