China Crew Visa – U.S. Citizens: Foreign crew members of means of international transportation, including aircraft, trains and ships, or motor vehicle drivers engaged in cross-border transport activities, or to the accompanying family members of the crew members of the above-mentioned ships.

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL CHINA CREW VISAS
  1. Applicant’s Passport: original, undamaged; valid for at least another 6 months.
  2. Visa Application Form:  Please download, complete, print, and sign the China visa application
      1. Important: The visa application must be filled out on your computer and then printed. They should not be completed by hand.
      2. You must provide 10 years of work experience
      3. Please sign on both the application form(section 9.1A) and the confirmation page. (HAND SIGNATURE ONLY)

  • Photograph: one recent, clear, front view, in color, professional 2″x2″ passport photo of the applicant with a plain white or off-white background.

  • Business Letter of Invitation: All business applications require a Letter of Invitation from the Chinese Company. (The letter shoulD include the information detailed in this sample China Invitation Letter Template).

  • Previous Chinese Visas and Chinese residence permit(if any): For applicants with a China Visa issued prior to March 26, 2020, you must submit the old visa and passport to the Embassy.
  • Copy of Driver’s License: copy of front and back of driver’s license
  • Copy of Vaccination Card: copy of the front and back of the vaccination card
  • 28-Day Travel Record: Please complete the form with your travel for the last 28 days.

  • Crew Letter. Formal Application Letter submitted by the airline or shipping company.
  • Crew ID. The original and photocopy of the employee ID of the applicant.
REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-US CITIZENS
  • Notarized copy of the front and back of the green card. (A valid U.S. visa with a valid I-94 card is also acceptable.)
    1. Note: Fees and processing times for non-U.S. passport holders may vary from the fees and processing times published on the website.
    2. Note: Consulate may contact you for an in-person visit.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS BORN IN CHINA, HONG KONG, MACAU, OR TAIWAN

  1. Chinese name. The applicant’s name is written in Chinese characters.
  2. Proof of name change. If the applicant’s name has changed since birth, please provide a copy of the court order or marriage certificate showing the name change.
  3. Previous visa. Copy of a previously issued Chinese visa or copy of the information page from your Chinese, Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwanese passport. Note: If your old passport has not been canceled, you will be required to submit the original passport with your application.

INFORMATION FOR PERSONS OF TIBETAN ORIGIN

  1. You must make a personal appearance at the Chinese Visa Application Service Center to process your visa if you are a person of Tibetan origin. The Visa Application Service Center will require additional documents in order to process your visa and Fast Passports & Visas is unable to assist in these procedures.
